OMAMORI Collection Vol.5 – 鎌倉 長谷寺のお守り

鎌倉　長谷寺のお守りです。
この渋さがたまりません😍

私が参拝した２０２２年は徳道上人がこちらの観音さまを造られてから１３００年を記念し、いつもは観音さまの膝下は仏具や供物などで全身のお姿を拝見することができませんが、期間中は全身を拝見できるようなしつらえになっていました。
また、例年であれば１２月１８日にのみ行われる観音さまの足先に手を触れて、ご縁を深めることのできる「御足参り（みあしまいり）」も毎日行うことができました。

This is an amulet from Hase-dera Temple in Kamakura.
I just can’t get enough of its understated charm 😍

In 2022, when I visited, the temple was commemorating the 1,300th anniversary of the statue of Kannon being created by Priest Tokudo. Normally, the area below the statue’s knees is covered with Buddhist ritual implements and offerings, so you can’t see the entire figure, but during the commemorative period, the display was arranged so that visitors could view the statue in its entirety.
Also, the “Mi-ashi-mairi” (touching the Kannon statue’s feet to deepen one’s connection), which is usually held only on December 18, was available every day during this period.
